Our annual back-to-school fair ‘A Successful Start’ held on July 27, 2024, brought together over 376 family and community members to Bachman Lake Together with a shared commitment to learning and preparation for a new school year.

Thursday, June 13, marked a memorable occasion for Bachman Lake Together (BLT) as we celebrated the culmination of a unique and inspiring collaboration. Parent leaders in our Community Action Network, in partnership with the Dallas Museum of Art (DMA), unveiled their individual art pieces crafted in response to the thought-provoking exhibition "When You See Me". This special exhibition, hosted by the DMA Center for Creative Connections (C3), sheds light on the narratives of underrepresented communities, inviting reflection and dialogue on inclusion and representation.

At the Better Block @ Bachman Lake Grand Opening on Saturday, June 1, we celebrated the power of placemaking, strategic partnerships and community voice.

At Bachman Lake Together's annual Community Action Network (CAN) graduation ceremony on Thursday, May 16, we celebrated the achievements of two generations – parent leaders and preschool graduates from the Bachman Lake community.

In partnership with Bachman Lake Together, Lumin Education, and The Dallas Foundation, the Better Block Foundation is collaboratively working to re-envision part of the parking lot adjacent to the joint Bachman Lake Together/Lumin Education campus.

Bachman Lake Together is proud to operate as the second Community Anchor Site in partnership with Dallas Innovation Alliance (DIA)’s Connected Dallas Digital Ambassador program. The Connected Dallas Tech Lab is a walk-in center offering computer lab, one-on-one support connecting to the Affordable Connectivity Program, online-based services, and hosting digital skills workshops.

On Tuesday, October 3rd, Bachman Lake families, neighbors, community partners and leaders celebrated the first National Night Out in the neighborhood at the Bachman Lake Together Family Center.

On July 31, we welcomed hundreds of Bachman Lake parents and children to provide social, emotional and physical support to thrive in this upcoming school year and beyond at our Annual Back to School Fair, A Successful Start.

We are so proud of our CAN graduates for committing to this intensive nine-month program and joining all of the graduates who have taken the bold step to become advocates for their children and grow as community leaders.

Bachman Lake Together announces updated programming partnerships for the 2023-2024 program year.

Bachman Lake Together took both first place and the People’s Choice Award in the annual Ernst & Young (EY) “Shark Tank” event for nonprofits focused on closing the digital divide. We are honored to have been selected and excited to put $32,500 in prize money to work for Bachman Lake families!

We are continuously searching for ways to improve our strategy and deepen our support for parents and their families. As a result, we are happy to formally announce the launch of our Parent Leadership Working Group!
