Bachman Lake Together Updates Family Center Programming for 2023-2024
Dallas, TX – Bachman Lake Together (BLT), the neighborhood-based backbone nonprofit, is announcing updated programming partnerships for the 2023-2024 program year.
After a decade of partnership, Catholic Charities Dallas (CCD) will no longer have programming at the Bachman Lake Together Family Center. While this concludes a formal on-site partnership, Bachman Lake Together celebrates the long-time partnership, and the hundreds of children and families served together. BLT is grateful for CCD’s impact on Bachman Lake families on working towards the shared goal of ensuring all Bachman Lake Children are ready for Kindergarten. Bachman Lake families participated in CCD’s dual-generation programming such as Together We Learn (TWL), Together We Read (TWR) and Together We’re Better (TWB). As a founding partner, BLT appreciates the impact CCD has made in the Bachman Lake community for the last seven years. Catholic Charities Dallas concluded programming at the Bachman Lake Together Family Center in May 2023.
As programming in the Family Center comes to a pause in the summer to prepare for the upcoming school year, BLT is working to ensure that Bachman Lake families continue to have high-quality programming opportunities for the 2023-2024 program year and beyond. Starting in September of 2023, BLT will expand programming opportunities in collaboration with AVANCE North Texas. AVANCE will expand offerings for their Parent-Child Education Program (PCEP) and will accept family visits at the Family Center.
Bachman Lake Together believes that more can be achieved when working together. As BLT continues to work towards their goal of kindergarten readiness for all Bachman Lake children, they will continue to evaluate progress and convene partners to multiply their impact in the community.
