Olga Martinez Hickman, Ph.D.

Dr. Olga Martinez Hickman supports cross-sector partnerships aimed at redesigning systems and strategies to enhance high-quality early childhood education for all children, regardless of background. She has more than two decades of relevant education and experience, including supporting statewide leadership, literacy and system-change initiatives. Her areas of expertise include equity and excellence, parent leadership and second language acquisition for diverse learners.

Dr. Martinez Hickman is a product of public education. She began her career as a classroom teacher and taught at the same elementary school she attended. Dr. Martinez Hickman earned her Ph.D. in K-16 Research, Policy, and Leadership from The University of Texas at Arlington.

Daniela Saldana

Partner & Community Engagement Manager

Daniela Saldana serves as the Partner and Community Engagement Manager at Bachman Lake Together, where she leads efforts to build and strengthen partnerships across the community. Daniela is a passionate advocate for underserved communities, bringing a blend of academic expertise and hands-on experience in nonprofit coordination, community health, and child development. Upon graduating from DISD, Daniela received her B.S. in Psychology and Child Learning and Development from the University of Texas at Dallas. It is her passion for early development that has brought her into the non-profit sector.  Raised in Bachman Lake, Daniela is deeply committed to making a positive impact in the neighborhoods that shaped her, particularly through trauma-informed community programs and neighborhood-led solutions. Outside of work, Daniela mentors youth and remains active in local community initiatives.
